Hello, I visited this link yesterday first time. I was happy to see this tool but now I am very disappointed because there is no Installation and Configuration Guide is not available and all the links of documentation is not working. Please provide me all
the documentation so can I configure this tool asap.

Regards

This tool is create, I use it as my personal screen saver for my project.

It would be great if the tool would support at a minimum selecting an area, but as others have suggested support for multiple iterations, then being able to specify an area for each iteration would be extremely useful.

For my project we have 2 teams, North American and India. We are both in the same iteration but it is helpful to track how each team it progressing on their assigned work.

Thanks,

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. I'm glad the tool is still finding new users, and proving useful. Here are my thoughts:

1. This is a no-brainer. I just hadn't implemented it like that because I haven't come across that need before.

2. This could be interesting, probably as a configurable preference. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to make the Silverlight Toolkit charts look like that.

3. I have had this request before, but I am always torn between implementing it or leaving the original intent there, which is that anyone can glance at any moment at the monitor and be sure to know what the project status is, without having to wait or second guessing what is on the screen.

4. Yeah, that would be my first suggestion (return SprintBacklogItem from the WI adaptor). I imagine the reason you want this is because in your process, you don't create SBIs for bugs, and would therefore want to use bugs as SBIs. If that is the case, I don't really see that as a hack, because it is mirroring your intent. Let me know if I got it wrong.

New Post: feature suggestions

Awesome tool. I used to use Telerik's WIM, but without access to source code or any customizability it wasn't proving very useful. This one, however, shines on both counts.

Couple feature suggestions:

1. When a team member is not found in the TeamMemberList (inside CreateTeamMember) return null instead of throwing. This allows me to restrict which team members I show through the team.xml file. Why do I want to do this? I don't, for instance, want to show
PM work items or bugs -- I'm primarily interested in showing dev/test. Or I, as the dev lead, want a display outside my office that shows only the status of my devs. With this simple change I can do that. (I've already done this on my local version of the
sourcecode.)

2. Integrate
http://www.mountaingoatsoftware.com/alt-releaseburndown style reporting for the burndown. This would be
much more useful than what's shown right now. I haven't tried tackling that yet.

3. Allow slideshow reporting of multiple iteration paths. This would allow a single display for multiple scrum teams.

New Post: SCRUM Monitor for TFS 2010 with Microsoft SRUM Template 1.0

Hi BilalKhan,

When Scrum Template 1.0 came out, I took a look at it, but quickly noticed that they did not support some required fields (I believe they have no notion of work done), so the out of the box the template was not useful for Scrum Sprint Monitor. You could easily add those fields to your process template installation, and then recompile Sprint Monitor to recognize those fields.

I would make a copy of MsfAgileProcessTemplateAdapter.cs and MsfAgileWorkItemAdapter.cs in the Implementation.TFS project file and adapt those classes to read the fields you added to the process template and return the required data.

http://scrumsprintmonitor.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/view/61615#1117606

New Post: SCRUM Monitor for TFS 2010 with Microsoft SRUM Template 1.0

Hi,

SCRUM Monitor is really a great looking tool, i'm wondering when we will see the new build for TFS 2010 with Microsoft SRUM Template 1.0?

Is there any work around for configuring SCRUM Monitor in TFS 2010 with MS SCRUM template 1.0 ?. I tried to configure it but it’s
not displaying the proper data and team members. I choose the SCRUM for team system v3 template since MS template 1.0 is not available.

Any suggestions regarding work around will be really appreciated.

Thank You

Regards,

When configuring SSM, it automatically detects and lists our TFS. When I click on "Edit Sprint Configuration", I get the following error:

Resolution of the dependency failed, type = "ScrumSprintMonitor.Infrastructure.IConnection", name = "(none)".

Exception occurred while: while resolving.

Exception is: InvalidOperationException - The current type, ScrumSprintMonitor.Infrastructure.IConnection, is an interface and cannot be constructed. Are you missing a type mapping?

There are IProcessTemplateAdaptor class implementations for each process template supported, which take care of translating the data for the monitor to consume.

So for this process template in particular, User Stories correspond to Product Backlog Items and Bugs, as you can see in ConchangoV3ProcessTemplateAdapter.cs.

New Post: Newbie Q: What are "User Stories" in Scrum for TS v3?

Hi All,

I really like the monitor, and am trying to use it with the
Scrum for Team System v3 process template.

The question is: What are "User Stories" as displayed in the Scrum Sprint Monitor?

The process template doesn't appear to have these, just "Product Backlog Items", which is the center pie chart of the monitor.

I'm still in the process of populating and setting things up, so I could have something mis-understood (or be using the process template the wrong way).

Any pointers appreciated!

Ciao,

Hello,

i've have been poking around and i'm trying to create a library based on ScrumSprintMonitor.Wpf.Application and it's dependencies.
After cleaning all dependency and configuration problems, I have came up with this problem regarding UnityContainer. On the Bootstrapper extension method CreateContainer(),

this.unityContainerAbstraction = UnityContainerAbstraction.EnsureContainerIsSetUp(unityContainer);

i'm getting a SynchronizationLockException, which is preventing the successful resolution of other entities further ahead in the code.
I've read about this on Google, but found nothing objective. Mostly, suggestions on how to overcome this problem consisted in configuring the exceptions of the debugger or extending UnityContainer.

I must say that the client application isn't implemented with IoC, and I'm leaving this to be done in my new library's entrypoint, where I instatiate the SSM bootstrapper.

Any hints on this ?

Thank you,
